Well I obviously missed my intended target of at least an weekly update. I will try to explain, and has transpired since my last update. The first two weeks of the protocol, Michael kept me on the same quantity of vitamin D. After the second week, it was decided to increase, by nearly 30%. The first week of the increase was similar to the previous two. Do on the3rd update with Michael, he informed me that he was going on an extended vacation, and thought it best to hold the amount of vitamin D the same until he returned. So while we would not schedule any appointments while he was on vacation, I could always to send him any questions and he would respond within 24 hours. So on about the 3rd day of the 4th week (the second after the initial increase), I did not feel myself. I was very tired, and walking took much more effort. I sent a message to Michael detailing this information; however, at the same time there were other events that could also account for how I was feeling. The temperature significantly increased, at the same time the AC in the car stopped functioning(just my luck). In addition there was a significant increase in stress. Michael suggested that the amount of the increase was cut in half, and see how my body reacted to that level. The next day, the first day of cutting the increase in half, was substantially better. the next day of the new lower increase was even better than the previous.
Despite my walk and energy level returning to previous levels I wanted to try the increase once again now that the weather was better, the Ac in the car repaired, and work had returned to "normal". So on Friday, because of it being the weekend, I once again tried the increase, and the results were very much the same. So the next, after much sleeping the day and night before, I once again resumed the lower increase. I have remain at this level, and will for the next couple of weeks until my next appointment with Michael.
So have I seen any differences after a month on the protocol? I am sleeping longer, deeper, than previously. It has been suggested that this is because the protocol is working, and my body is needing the extra sleep. That's a pleasant thought, and I hope its true. My walking is once again feeling less difficult. I am noticing a strong tingling sensation in my right arm, and a little less pronounced in my right leg. Yesterday I saw a friend whom I last saw before I ever started the protocol. So while he noticed the improvements in my walking, he really felt that the increase of the mobility and stability in my right arm was noticeable. She while I do feel that there is a difference, its nice to hear confirmation from an outside source. The other difference noticed by him and his wife was the weight loss. So while losing weight was not the primary focus, it is a welcomed difference. I am approaching my weight of a decade ago. I have even cut my belts a bit because they were too long, and looking almost ridiculous. I was not yet tried fitting back into my old pants, but do feel that they would once again be comfortable. So now the larger size are feeling like a waste, but not one that I am overly upset about.
So in two weeks I will be going on vacation, which I am very excited about, not working, better food, more sleep, less stress, did I mention no work? I will be on vacation for nearly 6 weeks. I am hoping to continue seeing improvements under what should be optimal conditions, or at the very least better than normal. Yes, I will try to do a better job of posting updates here as well, especially if there are any noticeable changes.
