Week 2 recap

Well I completed the second week of the protocol with small improvements here and there. Things such as an increase of balance and the speed of my stride. The advances were temporary, and returned to the previous state, at the same time there was noticeable improvement. The changes were noticed by myself as well as others. I had my 3 month check up with my MS doctor who also noticed substantial changes since our previous meeting, 3 months ago. While he was very supportive and encouraging, the tone changed when I told him what I was taking on the protocol. Despite the attitude change, I remain encouraged and will continue with the protocol.

The temperature here is beginning to get warmer, and ironically I came down with a cold. I think the lack of my immune system combined with something that has been going around the school were the reason for my being sick. Aiden has said that it has not been uncommon for nearly half the class to be home the past couple of days. It has taken me a bit longer than I would like, but I do seem to finally returning to full health.

During my recent appointment with Michael, an alternative B2 was Brough to my attention, out of Austria. He is currently taking it himself, with positive results. Unlike what I am currently taking, this  vitamin is already activated, so can immediately interact with the D3. In addition, there is no real formula to determine what quantity of the B2 is currently being activated, so it is possible, maybe even likely, that with the pre activated B2, additional quantities of the D3 will be activated.

I would also like to mention a web site that I discovered because if the FaceBook group. This one contains testimonials from other patients on the protocol, sharing their experience.

First week recap

Well I have completed the first of the protocol. Michael requested that we have our Skype meeting in an environment without distractions, so I suggested Friday as it is the weekend here. So while that mean I would be away from wok, it also meant that I would not completed a full week on the protocol. Michael wanted to error on the side of safety and did not increase my dosage of vitamin d. He instead suggested waiting until the next weekly meeting, and if everything remained positive would be comfortable increasing the amount then. Admittedly I was a little disappointed because not only have I been feeling fine, it seemed that protocol was having positive results and benefits. At the same time I am willing to trust Michael's judgment, and is only a temporary delay, 1 week.

Yesterday Aiden made the comment in the morning the my walk seemed to be straighter, more stable. Then later in the day, 4 separate individuals at completely different and unrelated times said that they noticed that the pace of my walk had increased dramatically. Admittedly, all 4 are aware of the protocol and that I am currently participating, but it was reassuring to be told by outside entities that a difference was noticed. As for myself, I feel that walking is taking less effort. I really was not paying attention to the pace, so cannot say with any certainty regarding the pace. I can say that I have noticed that I am taking considerably less Lyrica for pain as well. Whereas I would typically take 3 pills a day, that amount was the total for the entire week, I cannot discount the possibility that increase in temperature was a factor for my needing the pills those three days. All three pills were consumed with my lunch, on pretty hot days.

So that summarizes the first week. I feel off to a positive start and I am excited and hopeful about the upcoming experiences of the protocol. Aside from the differences mentioned above, I cannot recall the last time I was feeling hopeful, optimistic, and really looking forward to the future.

Started the protocol

Well the package was finally received yesterday, after a lengthy ordeal that I will save for another time. So on the first of the month, a new beginning for the calendar as well as my health. So this morning I excitedly took the indicated vitamins after some necessary water. As instructed by Michael, I am going to try to take notice of any changes or differences in my health, energy, or even emotions. So far, nothing of significance has been noticed, either positive or negative. I am remaining optimistic and excited, cautiously.
